Alyson’s journey into Veterinary Medicine started at a very early age, when her mother was the Manager of the local humane society and would bring Alyson to work with her any chance she could. Growing up, Twyla was always around animals. In high-school she got into dog walking and shortly after she realized she wanted to expand her knowledge on the overall health and welfare of all animals.
She decided to go into the Animal Health Technician program at Douglas College in Coquitlam in 2008. After working in different vet clinics, she started to really enjoy working with more difficult animals who need more patience and need more time to trust people. She has a calm demeanor and takes her time and listens to what the animals needs.
When she is not working in the vet clinics, she is out hiking with her Australian shepherd or taking her cat on a harness and leash, and walking outside with her.
